Anyone using this? I just have simple query.

I know how to open and block ports, forward ports, filter ports etc etc etc etc.

My only problem is (I am setting up MRTG on the new box) and I have to close off port 161 (SNMPD) but when I add it to the block list it prevents MRTG from connecting to it, that is its blocking both INTERNAL and EXTERNAL connections to the port :(

Does anyone know how to block EXTERNAL only using Firestarter ?

I have tried adding localhost, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.0.1 and the Optus IP to the allow list for that port... but not really having much luck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

What's your subnet look like? And what are your firewall rules?

Tis kool... fixed it :) Dunno which rule made it work but I added the following:

161 udp localhost
161 udp 127.0.0.1
161 udp 192.168.0.1
161 udp optus_ip_address

And its all good :)
