how can i change the localhoast i botched up mine while trying to conect adsl i put in somewhere vic.bigpond.net.au now when i use a terminal i get (user@vic user)and when i su same thing i get (rooy@vic user) and when i check my conection in the controll centre it sais localhoast:vic.bigpond.net.au.How can i reset this back to localhoast.localdomain .Thanks

This is Red Hat? If so, edit /etc/sysconfig/network and change HOSTNAME=... to HOSTNAME=localhost.localdomain

sorry i should have added it was for mandrake but im'e asuming they should be simular i will look for it .Thanks
