Does anyone know why RedHat decided to remove one of the nicest tools around out of RedHat 7.3

It owned and now its gone.

Because editing configuration files using vi in /etc is a lot better ;)

You serious they removed it??? Wow.... thats interesting (I am using 7.2 until I finish my exams).

I usually manually configure things via conf files anyway, but sometimes Linuxconf comes in rather handy.

But I must say linuxconf is nice.. It is the best console cfg tool(s) around.

Yeah, it's strange... Especially considering the majority of RH users would not be using a GUI.

You can still get linuxconf for Red Hat, and it's still be updated. To grab the binary or source RPM, go to this page.
