Is Windows Cheaper Than Linux? Posted Monday, November 18, 2002 @ 10:36 PM by mayhem
It must be frustrating for Microsoft to see its anti-Linux (and anti-open source) arguments dwindling. A few years ago, the Redmond giant could claim Linux was untested and unproven. No longer: Linux has been embraced by virtually every software company besides Microsoft. It's been through the wringer, and come out better for it.

Microsoft also once could claim that Linux had few applications. While still somewhat true, the number of applications that run on Linux increases every day. Even Microsoft's Office now runs on Linux, thanks to CodeWeavers and Wine.
